Guest Speaker
Executive Director, Beyond Emancipation
“Countless youth will exit foster care without a safety net. Beyond Emancipation continues to provide a lifeline for young people.”
Dave knows the road B:E's young people are on. About 20 years ago he emancipated from foster care in Arizona after six years in the system, graduated high school and moved into his first apartment at just 17.
Today he leads Beyond Emancipation, which has doubled down as a Housing First organization and its Creative, Connected, Resourceful, Whole coaching model. At BE.ART he'll share why your support matters, and where it goes.
The cause
“To support young people as they imagine and create their own life beyond foster care.”
For 30 years, Beyond Emancipation has coached Alameda County youth through the leap out of foster care — into stable housing, school, work and a life of their own. BE.ART is donation based: your $150 entry and every winning bid go straight to B:E.
